The 2.0 model is designed to perform well in warm weather travel conditions. Like its predecessor, it features a short cuff, made from comfortable materials such as perforated leather on the palm and a neoprene cuff.
Much of the comfort comes from the fact that the thumb and index finger are made from the same piece of material. This reduces seams and pressure points, while providing a wrinkle-free aesthetic. We call this Ergothumb.
The biggest improvement is the new RISC Armax palm protection, which is stitch-free and significantly enhances safety in that area. We chose not to change the wrist protection due to positive feedback from motorcyclists. The RISC 3D wrist protection is robust yet comfortable, pre-shaped and made from soft foam.
Fingers are finished with flexible TPR accents, and the index finger is equipped with Touch Tip: a conductive thermal material that allows operation of touchscreens. The area most exposed to abrasion in case of a fall is fully reinforced with a special structure leather. This reinforcement provides better grip, tear resistance, and enhanced abrasion resistance.
