The HJC FG-Jet Balin is a premium open-face motorcycle helmet from the world's number one manufacturer, HJC.

It's a super accessorized helmet that uses only premium materials and gadgets: fiberglass shell, built-in sunglasses, antibacterial interior and a visor with a wide field of vision that keeps insects and unwanted drafts at bay.

It has a fitting for a person with an INTERMEDIATE to ROTUND head shape, unlike the rest of the HJC range which come with an INTERMEDIATE to OVAL shape.

The outer shell is made from a mix of the latest generation materials: aramid fibre and fibreglass, giving you not only a very high level of protection, but also low weight. With a design borrowed from its full sister RPHA 70, the outer shell is highly aerodynamic. It is much more refined and aggressive looking than most helmets in the open-face range. It comes in three outer shell sizes XS-S, M-L and XL-XXL, and six sizes on the inside. You can choose from XS to XXL.

As an open-face helmet it's natural to be very ventilated, but what does this range have in addition to other open-face helmets? It has AIFLOW, meaning on hot summer days it will provide the ventilation you need not only from the front, but also inside the helmet, so you don't walk around with a sweaty head. It has 5 air intakes, 3 located at the top of the helmet and 2 at the back, and the inner ESP shell has channels in it that allow air to circulate behind your head. The large top intake has two positions: closed open, and the small side intakes at the front can be adjusted with a thumbwheel just like the RPHA 11, i.e. exactly to the rider's needs.

The inner sunglasses are anti-fog treated and are easily operated by a top-down sliding button at the top rear of the helmet. If you want to use the sunglasses simply push the button towards the front. If you don't need them, just pull the button back. Sunglasses help some people concentrate better on the road when the sunlight is very bright. The glasses' operating system is a premium, cable-based system.

The visor is very wide and offers a very generous field of vision, which is an asset especially in the urban jungle where you have to avoid hazards at every turn. At the bottom, where it ends, it has a rounded edge, making it easy to find and operate at the top.
Thanks to the QuickSlide system, it's easy to replace and can be changed in less than 10 seconds.

On the edges the helmet has some stops where this visor rests. What do they do? If something puts pressure on the visor, it stays in place and doesn't pop off at the slightest bump, so you have a higher level of protection than most open face helmets.

The premium antibacterial interior is very comfortable, wear-resistant and completely removable, making it very easy to wash. The materials used are "breathable". Meaning even if you don't use a balaclava and sweat directly into it, it is very ventilated and dries quickly, a very effective system that doesn't leave you with a wet head.

The inner sponges squeeze very well on the head and are much narrower at the bottom, trying to ensure as good a seal as possible, for extra comfort on the long ride.

Another useful thing, the helmet is easy to use if you have glasses. That is, the shape of the inner pads has been redesigned so that you can put on your glasses without any problem. Other helmets have this advantage too, but HJC have perfected it. How? The material in the area where the goggles slide is very slippery, so you can put on your prescription glasses or sunglasses with ease, without having to fight to the death every time you put them on and take them off.

The micrometric closure system ensures quick and easy adjustment, making it easy to use even with gloves.
