The HJC C91 Prod is a flip-up motorcycle helmet ready to make your out-of-town rides quieter and more comfortable, and in town to give you the extra ventilation you need on hot summer days. The HJC C91 is the improved version of the famous C90 flip-up helmet.

Some people have an oval-shaped head, narrower at the temples and longer from front to back. This shape is called INTERMEDIATE-OVAL by the manufacturers. That is, if you have a slightly rounder head, this helmet may not fit you perfectly.

The helmet only fits on your head in the flip up position. That is with the jaw up. It opens easily with a button (lever) located centrally at the base of the jaw. It also comes off the head. With the mandible raised.

The outer shell is made of polycarbonate, a state-of-the-art material that not only offers you a very high level of protection but also a low weight. It comes in two outer shell sizes (XS-L and XL-XXL). Inside you can choose from XS to 2XL.

It is an AIRFLOW helmet, which on hot summer days will provide the ventilation you need through the 3 generous air intakes located on the chin, forehead and back of the helmet. "It's very ventilated, but won't that also make it very noisy?" The answer is no. It's a helmet that tests have shown to be very quiet and comfortable on long rides.

The inner sunglasses are anti-fog treated and are easily operated via a front-back sliding button on the top of the helmet. They have a large surface area and protect well against the sun's rays. If you want to use the sunglasses simply push the button towards the back. If you don't need them anymore, push the button towards the front. Sunglasses help some people concentrate better on the road when the sunlight is very bright. The glasses' operating system is a premium, cable-based system.

The visor is operated from the left side, with that little corner where you can grab it to lift it up. It's easy to operate and it squeezes very well on the cheder. On long journeys this can prove very useful as it reduces noise. The visor comes with mounting pins for Pinlock, an effective bad weather system that stops or delays visor fogging.

The antibacterial SUPERCOOL interior is very comfortable, wear-resistant and completely removable, making it very easy to wash. The materials used are "breathable". That means even if you don't use a hood and sweat directly into it, it is very ventilated and dries quickly, a very effective system that doesn't leave you with a wet head.

The side sponges are shaped more towards touring, not super sport, which makes them much more comfortable for long rides. You don't want to sit with your cheeks squeezed and pressed and prone to bites during a 12-hour ride. The bottom of the sponges hug the base of the head much better and they squeeze around the base of the head so they reduce noise considerably.

The material at the base of the helmet is non-slip, so if you leave your helmet on the saddle, the chances of it slipping and falling to the ground are very small.

Another useful thing, the helmet is easy to use if you have glasses. That is, the shape of the inner sponges has been redesigned so that you can put on your glasses without any problem. Other helmets have this advantage too, but HJC have perfected it. How? The material in the area where the goggles slide is very slippery, so you can put on your prescription glasses or sunglasses with ease, without having to fight to the death every time you put them on and take them off.

The C91 Prod comes factory equipped with chin air deflector. It can be removed or fitted back in place very quickly as it has a velcro fastening. If you go on a long ride it proves to be very useful as it protects you from insects that can get into your helmet drawn by the airflow that forms at the base of the helmet and last but not least makes the helmet much quieter.

On the inside, on the sides, right next to the ears we have two holes that allow us to mount the speakers from an intercom time communication system. Compatible with large, high-performance speakers such as those from Sena or Cardo.
