The result of over a decade of development in MotoGP and following Alpinestars' first-generation airbag system for racing, as well as the launch of the revolutionary Tech-Air® Street, this latest version of Alpinestars Tech-Air® technology brings complete upper body protection for riders passionate about the track and performance. Available separately and compatible with a range of Alpinestars leather suits and jackets, Tech-Air® E-Race is fully autonomous, meaning no configuration is required between the motorcycle and rider, thus ensuring ultimate convenience, freedom, and versatility. When fully inflated, the system's airbag provides critical protection for the back, lower back, chest, and shoulders. Additionally, with a simple firmware update, the versatile system can be configured to use the Tech-Air® E-Street airbag settings for non-competitive street use and off-road conditions.

• Electronic sensors integrated into the system’s chassis make it fully autonomous and allow for interchangeable use with compatible apparel.
• The advanced main shell, made from multiple materials, includes elastane, 2D mesh, and nylon.
• The interior is made of perforated elastane, 3D mesh, and soft-touch edges for a high level of comfort.
• Specially designed protection, developed for racing, offering comprehensive inflatable protection for the entire upper body, back, shoulders, lower back area, chest, and upper abdomen.
• Includes a removable internal mesh and an elastic strap with hook and loop fasteners to position the airbag system and ensure a customized fit and improve adjustment.
• The activation system uses argon inflation cartridges approved to ISO 14451 standards.
• The system’s firmware is updatable and can be configured to use the Tech-Air® E-Street airbag settings for non-competitive street use and off-road conditions.
• The ACU is sealed to ensure performance in all weather conditions between -10°C and +50°C.
• The ACU is certified to ECE R10 04 standards, ensuring electromagnetic integrity and unit stability.
• The system uses an integrated lithium-ion battery, with a battery life of 25 hours and a recharge time of approximately 6 hours. The Micro USB charger allows for convenient system charging, and one hour of charging provides four hours of travel coverage.
• The system features a convenient connection system, allowing quick and easy attachment to a combination for activating the airbag and the LED display.
• The system has dual charging capacity for sizes M-2XL.
• The YKK front zippers, color-coded, allow easy and secure attachment to an outer jacket.
• Category II approval according to the European PPE Directive 686/89/EEC, using a version of EN1621-4:2013, which ensures performance protection against impact between 45 milliseconds and 5 seconds.
• The design and manufacturing are approved according to the pyrotechnic directive 2007/23/EC.
