The lightest autonomous airbag system from Alpinestars, Tech-Air® 3 is designed to be worn over or under a motorcycle jacket. It is an efficient and practical choice for touring riders, urban commuters, and off-road adventure riders. Featuring a waterproof main chassis and waterproof ECU and electronics, this sleek, autonomous system can also be worn under a motorcycle jacket, including an Alpinestars Tech-Air® Ready jacket or any leather or textile jacket, provided that the jacket allows enough space for the airbag to inflate. Tech-Air® 3 enables riders to enjoy their daily commute even more, knowing they are protected.
Features:
• Tech-Air® 3 is a fully autonomous active airbag system that does not require external connections or motorcycle-mounted sensors to operate.
• Equipped with six integrated sensors (three accelerometers (one triaxial accelerometer) and three gyroscopes (one triaxial gyroscope)) to provide the best impact monitoring across a variety of riding conditions, including when stationary.
• Automatically activates via the magnetic zipper.
• Easily storable in a backpack or under the motorcycle seat when not in use.
• Available in a Stella version for women, with an ergonomically optimized fit. (separate product)
• Diagonal zipper design fully covers the chest while concealing the internal airbag. The magnetic zipper is easy to use and provides a secure closure for the airbag garment.
• LED display on the front chest indicates the airbag system's operational status. The LED also includes a haptic warning signal that uses vibrations to confirm system activation and alerts the rider when the battery is low.
• Features Alpinestars’ second-generation compact Electronic Control Unit (ECU), located in the ECU pocket at the upper back of the Tech-Air® 3 inner vest.
• Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) connectivity with the Tech-Air® app allows users to monitor the system’s operational and battery status, as well as provides a detailed map of motorcycle rides via the MyRide app.
• System software updates are accessible via the Tech-Air® app.
• Integrated back protection pocket can accommodate additional passive back protection.
• Uses an AI-powered impact detection algorithm to accurately monitor when the airbag should deploy in the event of an impact, ensuring active protection while riding on the road and in various riding conditions, even when stationary.
